Ayah Study

Say: "He is the Most Gracious (Allâh), in Him we believe, and in Him we put our trust. So you will come to know who it is that is in manifest error."

Say: He is the Most Gracious: we have attained to faith in Him, and in Him have we placed our trust; and in time you will come to know which of us was lost in manifest error.

کہہ دو کہ وہ جو (خدائے) رحمٰن (ہے) ہم اسی پر ایمان لائے اور اسی پر بھروسا رکھتے ہیں۔ تم کو جلد معلوم ہوجائے گا کہ صریح گمراہی میں کون پڑ رہا تھا

ومن قولهم، إنهم على هدى، والرسول على ضلال، أعادوا في ذلك وأبدوا، وجادلوا عليه وقاتلوا، فأمر الله نبيه أن يخبر عن حاله وحال أتباعه، ما به يتبين لكل أحد هداهم وتقواهم، وهو أن يقولوا: { آمَنَّا بِهِ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا } والإيمان يشمل التصديق الباطن، والأعمال الباطنة والظاهرة، ولما كانت الأعمال، وجودها وكمالها، متوقفة على التوكل، خص الله التوكل من بين سائر الأعمال، وإلا فهو داخل في الإيمان، ومن جملة لوازمه كما قال تعالى: { وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ } فإذا كانت هذه حال الرسول وحال من اتبعه، وهي الحال التي تتعين للفلاح، وتتوقف عليها السعادة، وحالة أعدائه بضدها، فلا إيمان [لهم] ولا توكل، علم بذلك من هو على هدى، ومن هو في ضلال مبين.

قل: الله هو الرحمن صدَّقنا به وعملنا بشرعه، وأطعناه، وعليه وحده اعتمدنا في كل أمورنا، فستعلمون- أيها الكافرون- إذا نزل العذاب: أيُّ الفريقين منا ومنكم في بُعْدٍ واضح عن صراط الله المستقيم؟

ثم قال تعالى "قل هو الرحمن آمنا به وعليه توكلنا" أي آمنا برب العالمين الرحمن الرحيم وعليه توكلنا في جميع أمورنا كما قال تعالى "فاعبده وتوكل عليه" ولهذا قال تعالى "فستعلمون من هو في ضلال مبين" أي منا ومنكم ولمن تكون العاقبة في الدنيا والآخرة.

The Death of the Believer will not save the Disbeliever, so let Him reflect upon His Deliverance Allah says, قُلْ (say) `O Muhammad to these idolators who are associating partners with Allah and denying His favors,' أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَهْلَكَنِىَ اللَّهُ وَمَن مَّعِىَ أَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَن يُجِيرُ الْكَـفِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ (Tell me! If Allah destroys me, and those with me, or He bestows His mercy on us - who can save the disbelievers from a painful torment) meaning, `save yourselves, for verily, there is nothing that can rescue you from Allah except repentance, turning to Him for forgiveness and returning to His religion. Your hopes that torment and exemplary punishment will strike us, will not benefit you. Whether Allah punishes us or has mercy on us, there is no escaping from Allah's punishment and painful torment that you will suffer.' Then Allah says, قُلْ هُوَ الرَّحْمَـنُ ءَامَنَّا بِهِ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا (Say: "He is the Most Gracious, in Him we believe, and upon Him we rely.) meaning, `we believe in the Lord of all that exists, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and upon Him we rely in all of our affairs.' This is as Allah says, فَاعْبُدْهُ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَيْهِ (So worship Him and rely upon Him.) (11:123) Thus, Allah continues saying, فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِى ضَلَـلٍ مُّبِينٍ (So, you will come to know who it is that is in manifest error.) meaning, `between Us and you, and to whom the final end (ultimate victory) will be for in this life and in the Hereafter.' Reminding of Allah's Blessing by the springing of Water and the Threat of It being taken away Demonstrating how merciful He is to His creatures, Allah says; قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَآؤُكُمْ غَوْراً (Say: "Tell me! If your water were to sink away...") meaning, if it were to go away, disappearing into the lowest depths of the earth, then it would not be reachable with iron axes nor strong arms. `Gha'ir' (sinking) as used here in the Ayah, is the opposite of springing forth. This is why Allah says, فَمَن يَأْتِيكُمْ بِمَآءٍ مَّعِينٍ (who then can supply you with flowing water) meaning, springing forth, flowing, running upon the face of the earth. This means that no one is able to do this except Allah. So, it is merely out of His favor and His grace that He causes water to spring forth for you, and He makes it run to the various regions of the earth in an amount that is suitable for the needs of servants, be it little or abundant. So Allah's is all the praise and thanks. This is the end of the Tafsir of Surat Al-Mulk and all praise and thanks are due to Allah.

زمین سے پانی ابلنا بند ہوجائے تو ؟ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے اے نبی ! ان مشرکوں سے کہو جو اللہ کی نعمتوں کا انکار کر رہے ہیں کہ تم اس بات کی تمنا کر رہے ہو کہ نقصان پہنچے تو فرض کرو کہ ہمیں اللہ کی طرف سے نقصان پہنچایا اس نے مجھ پر اور میرے ساتھیوں پر رحم کیا لیکن اس سے تمہیں کیا ؟ صرف اس امر سے تمہارا چھٹکارا تو نہیں ہوسکتا ؟ تمہاری نجات کی صورت یہ تو نہیں، نجات تو موقوف ہے توبہ کرنے، اللہ کی طرف جھکنے پر، اس کے دین کو مان لینے پر، ہمارے بچاؤ یا ہلاکت پر تمہاری نجات نہیں، تم ہمارا خیال چھوڑ کر اپنی بخشش کی صورت تلاش کرو۔ پھر فرمایا ہم رب العالمین رحمن و رحیم پر ایمان لا چکے اپنے تمام امور میں ہمارا بھروسہ اور توکل اسی کی پاک ذات پر ہے، جیسے ارشاد فرمایا آیت (فَاعْبُدْهُ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَيْهِ ۭ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُوْنَ01203) 11۔ ھود :123) اسی کی عبادت کر اور اسی پر بھروسہ کر، اب تم عنقریب جان لو گے کہ دنیا اور آخرت میں فلاح و بہبود کسے ملتی ہے اور نقصان و خسران میں کون پڑتا ہے ؟ رب کی رحمت کس پر ہے ؟ اور ہدایت پر کون ہے ؟ اللہ کا غضب کس پر ہے اور بری راہ پر کون ہے ؟ پھر فرماتا ہے اگر اس پانی کو جس کے پینے پر انسانی زندگی کا مدار ہے زمین چوس لے یعنی زمین سے نکلے ہی نہیں گو تم کھودتے تھک جاؤ تو سوائے اللہ تعالیٰ کے کوئی ہے جو بہنے والا ابلنے اور جاری ہونے والا پانی تمہیں دے سکے ؟ یعنی اللہ کے سوا اس پر قادر کوئی نہیں، وہی ہے جو اپنے فضل و کرم سے صاف نتھرے ہوئے اور صاف پانی کو زمین پر جاری کرتا ہے جو ادھر سے ادھر تک پھرجاتا ہے اور بندوں کی حاجتوں کو پوری کرتا ہے، ضرورت کے مطابق ہر جگہ بآسانی مہیا ہوجاتا ہے، فالحمد للہ۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کے فضل وکرم سے سورة ملک کی تفسیر ختم ہوئی۔ فالحمد للہ رب العالمین۔ (حدیث میں ہے کہ اس آیت کے جواب میں اللہ رب العالمین کہنا چاہئے۔ مترجم)۔
