Note: This lineage focuses on Muslim members of the family as per the Sunni scholarly consensus. Abu Talib (uncle of the Prophet) and Abu Lahab (uncle) are excluded as they did not accept Islam. The Prophet's lineage continues to this day through Imam al-Husayn's descendants.
