Ayah Study

Those who fear their Lord without seeing Him, and they are afraid of the Hour.

Nay, We have allowed these [sinners] – as [We allowed] their forebears – to enjoy the good things of life for a great length of time: but then – have they never yet seen how We visit the earth [with Our punishment], gradually depriving it of all that is best thereon? Can they, then, [hope to] be the winners?

جو بن دیکھے اپنے پروردگار سے ڈرتے ہیں اور قیامت کا بھی خوف رکھتے ہیں

ثم فسر المتقين فقال: { الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ ْ} أي: يخشونه في حال غيبتهم، وعدم مشاهدة الناس لهم، فمع المشاهدة أولى، فيتورعون عما حرم، ويقومون بما ألزم، { وَهُمْ مِنَ السَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ ْ} أي: خائفون وجلون، لكمال معرفتهم بربهم، فجمعوا بين الإحسان والخوف، والعطف هنا من باب عطف الصفات المتغايرات، الواردة على شيء واحد وموصوف واحد.

ولقد آتينا موسى وهارون حجة ونصرًا على عدوهما، وكتابًا - وهو التوراة - فَرَقْنا به بين الحق والباطل، ونورًا يهتدي به المتقون الذين يخافون عقاب ربهم، وهم من الساعة التي تقوم فيها القيامة خائفون وجلون.

ثم وصفهم فقال " الذين يخشون ربهم بالغيب " كقوله " من خشي الرحمن بالغيب وجاء بقلب منيب " وقوله " إن الذين يخشون ربهم بالغيب لهم مغفرة وأجر كبير " " وهم من الساعة مشفقون " أي خائفون وجلون.

The Revelation of the Tawrah and the Qur'an We have already noted that Allah often mentions Musa and Muhammad together -- may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon them both -- and He often mentions their Books together as well. He says: وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى وَهَـرُونَ الْفُرْقَانَ (And indeed We granted to Musa and Harun the criterion) Mujahid said, "This means the Scripture." Abu Salih said: "The Tawrah." Qatadah said: "The Tawrah, what it permits and it forbids, and how Allah differentiated between truth and falsehood." In conclusion, we may say that the heavenly Books included the distinction between truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance, transgression and the right way, lawful and unlawful, and that which will fill the heart with light, guidance, fear of Allah and repentance. So Allah says: الْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَآءً وَذِكْراً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ (the criterion, and a shining light and a Reminder for those who have Taqwa.) meaning, a reminder and exhortation for them. Then He describes them as: الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ (Those who fear their Lord in the unseen.) This is like the Ayah: مَّنْ خَشِىَ الرَّحْمَـنَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ (Who feared the Most Gracious in the unseen and came with a repenting heart. ) 50:33 إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ (Verily, those who fear their Lord unseen, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward.) 67:12 t وَهُمْ مِّنَ السَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ (and they are afraid of the Hour.) means, they fear it. Then Allah says: وَهَـذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَـهُ (And this is a blessed Reminder which We have sent down;) means, the Magnificent Qur'an, which falsehood cannot approach, from before it or behind it, revealed by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise. أَفَأَنْتُمْ لَهُ مُنكِرُونَ (will you then deny it) means, will you deny it when it is the utmost in clarity and truth

کتاب النور ہم پہلے بھی اس بات کو جتا چکے کہ حضرت موسیٰ ؑ اور حضرت محمد ﷺ کا ذکر اکثر ملاجلا آتا ہے اور اسی طرح توراۃ اور قرآن کا ذکر بھی عموماً ایک ساتھ ہی ہوتا ہے۔ فرقان سے مراد کتاب یعنی تورات ہے جو حق وباطل حرام حلال میں فرق کرنے والی تھی۔ اسی سے جناب موسیٰ ؑ کو مدد ملی۔ کل کو کل آسمانی کتابیں حق وباطل ہدایت و گمراہی بھلائی برائی حلال وحرام میں جدائی کرنے والی ہوتی ہیں۔ ان سے دلوں میں نورانیت، اعمال میں حقانیت، اللہ کا خوف وخشیت ڈر اور اللہ کی طرف رجوع حاصل ہوتا ہے۔ اسی لئے فرمایا کہ اللہ سے ڈرنے والوں کے لئے یہ کتاب نصیحت وپند اور نور و روشنی ہے۔ پھر ان متقیوں کا وصف بیان فرمایا کہ وہ اپنے اللہ سے غائبانہ ڈرتے ہیں رہتے ہیں۔ جیسے جنتیوں کے اوصاف بیان کرتے ہوئے فرمایا آیت (مَنْ خَشِيَ الرَّحْمٰنَ بالْغَيْبِ وَجَاۗءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيْبِۨ 33؀ۙ) 50۔ ق :33) جو رحمن سے بن دیکھے ڈرتے ہیں اور جھکنے والا دل رکھتے ہیں۔ اور آیت میں ہے جو لوگ اپنے رب کا غائبانہ ڈر رکھتے ہیں۔ ان کے لئے مغفرت ہے اور بہت بڑا اجر ہے۔ ان متقیوں کا دوسرا وصف یہ ہے کہ قیامت کا کھٹکا رکھتے ہیں۔ اس کی ہولناکیوں سے لرزاں وترساں رہتے ہیں۔ پھر فرماتا ہے کہ اس قرآن عظیم کو بھی ہم نے ہی نازل فرمایا ہے جس کے آس پاس بھی باطل نہیں آسکتا۔ جو حکمتوں اور تعریفوں والے اللہ کی طرف سے اترا ہے۔ افسوس کیا اس قدر وضاحت و حقانیت صداقت ونورانیت والا قرآن بھی اس قابل ہے کہ تم اس کے منکر بنے رہو ؟۔
