Ayah Study

He it is Who has appointed for you the night that you may rest therein, and the day to make things visible (to you). Verily, in this are Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for a people who listen (i.e. those who think deeply).

And all human beings that have been doing evil would surely, if they possessed all that is on earth, offer it as ransom [on Judgment Day]; and when they see the suffering [that awaits them], they will be unable to express their remorse. But judgment will be passed on them in all equity; and they will not be wronged.

وہی تو ہے جس نے تمہارے لیے رات بنائی تاکہ اس میں آرام کرو اور روز روشن بنایا ( تاکہ اس میں کام کرو) جو لوگ (مادہٴ) سماعت رکھتے ہیں ان کے لیے ان میں نشانیاں ہیں

و‏{‏هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ‏}‏ في النوم والراحة بسبب الظلمة، التي تغشى وجه الأرض، فلو استمر الضياء، لما قروا، ولما سكنوا‏.‏ ‏{‏و‏}‏ جعل الله ‏{‏النَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا‏}‏ أي‏:‏ مضيئًا، يبصر به الخلق، فيتصرفون في معايشهم، ومصالح دينهم ودنياهم‏.‏ ‏{‏إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ‏}‏ عن الله، سمع فهم، وقبول، واسترشاد، لا سمع تعنت وعناد، فإن في ذلك لآيات، لقوم يسمعون، يستدلون بها على أنه وحده المعبود وأنه الإله الحق، وأن إلهية ما سواه باطلة، وأنه الرءوف الرحيم العليم الحكيم‏.‏

هو الذي جعل لكم -أيها الناس- الليل لتسكنوا فيه وتهدؤوا من عناء الحركة في طلب المعاش، وجعل لكم النهار؛ لتبصروا فيه، ولتسعَوْا لطلب رزقكم. إن في اختلاف الليل والنهار وحال أهلهما فيهما لَدلالةً وحججًا على أن الله وحده هو المستحق للعبادة، لقوم يسمعون هذه الحجج، ويتفكرون فيها.

ثم أخبر أنه الذي جعل لعباده الليل ليسكنوا فيه أي يستريحون من نصبهم وكلهم وحركاتهم "والنهار مبصرا" أي مضيئا لمعاشهم وسعيهم وأسفارهم ومصالحهم "إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يسمعون" أي يسمعون هذه الحجج والأدلة فيعتبرون بها ويستدلون على عظمة خالقها ومقدرها ومسيرها.

All Might and Honor is for Allah -- He Alone has Full Authority within the Universe Allah said to His Messenger , وَلاَ يَحْزُنكَ (Do not greive) because of the remarks of these idolators, and depend on Allah and ask for His help. Put your trust in Him. إِنَّ الْعِزَّةَجَمِيعاً (For all power and honor belong to Allah.) All might and honor belong to Him, His Messenger and the believers. هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.) He hears the utterances of His servants and knows their affairs. Allah then stated that to Him is the dominion of the heavens and earth. But the idolators worship idols, that own nothing and can neither harm nor benefit anyone. They have no evidence to base their worship on them. They only follow their own conjecture, lies, and ultimately - falsehood. Allah then informed us that He is the One Who made the night for His servants to rest therein from weariness and exhaustion. وَالنَّهَـارَ مُبْصِـراً (And the day to make things visible (to you).) bright and clear for them to seek livelihood and to travel to fulfill their needs. إِنَّ فِى ذلِكَ لآيَـتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ (Verily, in this are Ayat for a people who listen.) Those who hear these proofs and take a lesson from them. These Ayat can lead them to realize the greatness of their Creator and Sustainer.

عزت صرف اللہ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کے لیے ہے ان مشرکوں کی باتوں کا کوئی رنج و غم نہ کر۔ اللہ تعالیٰ سے ان پر مدد طلب کر اس پر بھروسہ رکھ، ساری عزتیں اسی کے ہاتھ میں، وہ اپنے رسول کو اور مومنوں کو عزت دے گا۔ وہ بندوں کی باتوں کو خوب سنتا ہے وہ ان کی حالتوں سے پورا خبردار ہے۔ آسمان و زمین کا وہی مالک ہے۔ اس کے سوا جن جن کو تم پوجتے ہو ان میں سے کوئی کسی چیز کا کچھ بھی اختیار نہیں رکھتا کوئی نفع نقصان ان کے بس کا نہیں۔ پھر ان کے عبادت بھی محض بےدلیل ہے۔ صرف گمان، اٹکل، جھوٹ اور افترا ہے۔ حرکت، رنج و تعب، تکلیف اور کام کاج سے راحت و آرام سکون و اطمینان حاصل کرنے کے لیے اللہ نے رات بنادی ہے۔ دن کو اس سے روشن اور اجالے والا بنادیا ہے تاکہ تم اس میں کام کاج کرو۔ معاش اور روزی کی فکر، سفر تجارت، کاروبار کرسکو، ان دلیلوں میں بہت کچھ عبرت ہے لیکن اس سے فائدہ وہی اٹھاتے ہیں جو ان آیتوں کو دیکھ کر ان خالق کی عظمت و جبروت کا تصور باندھتے اور اس خالق ومالک کی قدر عزت کرتے ہیں۔
