And with truth We have sent it down (i.e. the Qur’ân), and with truth it has descended. And We have sent you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) as nothing but a bearer of glad tidings (of Paradise for those who follow your Message of Islâmic Monotheism), and a warner (of Hell-fire for those who refuse to follow your Message of Islâmic Monotheism)<sup foot_note=154686>1</sup>.

Are they, then, not aware that God, who has created the heavens and the earth, has the power to create them anew in their own likeness, having, beyond any doubt, set a term for their resurrection?

اور ہم نے اس قرآن کو سچائی کے ساتھ نازل کیا ہے اور وہ سچائی کے ساتھ نازل ہوا اور (اے محمدﷺ) ہم نے تم کو صرف خوشخبری دینے والا اور ڈر سنانے والا بنا کر بھیجا ہے

أي: وبالحق أنزلنا هذا القرآن الكريم، لأمر العباد ونهيهم، وثوابهم وعقابهم، { وَبِالْحَقِّ نَزَلَ } أي: بالصدق والعدل والحفظ من كل شيطان رجيم { وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا } من أطاع الله بالثواب العاجل والآجل { وَنَذِيرًا } لمن عصى الله بالعقاب العاجل والآجل، ويلزم من ذلك بيان ما بشر به وأنذر.

وبالحق أنزلنا هذا القرآن على محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم لأمْرِ العباد ونهيهم وثوابهم وعقابهم، وبالصدق والعدل والحفظ من التغيير والتبديل نزل. وما أرسلناك -أيها الرسول- إلا مبشرًا بالجنة لمن أطاع، ومخوفًا بالنار لمن عصى وكفر.

يقول تعالى مخبرا عن كتابه العزيز وهو القرآن المجيد أنه بالحق نزل أي متضمنا للحق كما قال تعالى "لكن الله يشهد بما أنزل إليك أنزله بعلمه والملائكة يشهدون" أي متضمنا علم الله الذي أراد أن يطلعكم عليه من أحكامه وأمره ونهيه وقوله "وبالحق نزل" أي ونزل إليك يا محمد محفوظا محروسا لم يشب بغيره ولا زيد فيه ولا نقص منه بل وصل إليك بالحق فإنه نزل به شديد القوى الأمين المكين المطاع في الملأ الأعلى وقوله "وما أرسلناك" أي يا محمد "إلا مبشرا ونذيرا" مبشرا لمن أطاعك من المؤمنين ونذيرا لمن عصاك من الكافرين.

The Revelation of the Qur'an in Stages Allah tells us that His Book, the Glorious Qur'an, has been sent with truth, i.e., it contains the truth, as Allah says: لَّـكِنِ اللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكَ أَنزَلَهُ بِعِلْمِهِ وَالْمَلَـئِكَةُ يَشْهَدُونَ (But Allah bears witness to that which He has sent down unto you; He has sent it down with His knowledge, and the angels bear witness) 4:166 meaning, it contains the knowledge which Allah wanted to teach to you, with His rulings, commands and prohibitions. وَبِالْحَقِّ نَزَلَ (and with truth it has descended.) means, "It has been sent down to you, O Muhammad, preserved and protected, not contaminated or mixed with anything else, with nothing added or taken away. It has come to you with the truth, brought down by one mighty in power, trustworthy and strong, one who is obeyed by the higher group (angels).' وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَاكَ (And We have sent you) O Muhammad إِلاَّ مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا (as nothing but a bearer of glad tidings and a warner). a bearer of glad tidings for the believers who obey you and a warner to the disbelievers who disobey you. وَقُرْءانًا فَرَقْنَاهُ (And (it is) a Qur'an which We have divided), The word translated here as "We have divided" may be read in two ways. If it is read as "Faraqnahu", with no Shaddah, the meaning is: `We have made it depart from Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz to Bayt Al-`Izzah in the lowest heaven, then it was revealed in stages to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, according to events, over a period of twenty-three years.' This was narrated by `Ikrimah from Ibn `Abbas. It was also narrated that Ibn `Abbas read it as "Farraqnahu", with a Shaddah, meaning, `We revealed it Ayah by Ayah , and have explained it and made it clear.' Hence Allah says: لِتَقْرَأَهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ (in order that you might recite it to men), meaning, convey it to the people and recite it to them, عَلَى مُكْثٍ (at intervals.) meaning slowly. وَنَزَّلْنَـهُ تَنْزِيلاً (And We have revealed it by stages.) means, little by little.

قرآن کریم کی صفات عالیہ ارشاد ہے کہ قرآن حق کے ساتھ نازل ہوا، یہ سراسر حق ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے علم کے ساتھ اسے نازل فرمایا ہے اس کی حقانیت پر وہ خود شاہد ہے اور فرشتے بھی گواہ ہیں اس میں وہی ہے جو اس نے خود اپنی دانست کے ساتھ اتارا ہے اس کے تمام حکم احکام اور نہی و ممانعت اسی طرف سے ہے حق والے نے حق کے ساتھ اسے اتارا اور یہ حق کے ساتھ ہی تجھ تک پہنچا نہ راستے میں کوئی باطل اس میں ملا نہ باطل کی یہ شان کہ اس سے مخلوط ہو سکے۔ یہ بالکل محفوظ ہے، کمی زیادتی سے یکسر پاک ہے۔ پوری طاقت والے امانتدار فرشتے کی معرفت نازل ہوا ہے جو آسمانوں میں ذی عزت اور وہاں کا سردار ہے۔ تیرا کام مومنوں کو خوشی سنانا اور کافروں کو ڈرانا ہے۔ اس قرآن کو ہم نے لوح محفوظ سے بیت العزۃ پر نازل فرمایا جو آسمان اول میں ہے۔ وہاں سے متفرق تھوڑا تھوڑا کر کے واقعات کے مطابق تیئس برس میں دنیا پر نازل ہوا۔ اس کی دوسری قرأت فرقناہ ہے یعنی ایک ایک آیت کر کے تفسیر اور تفصیل اور تبیین کے ساتھ اتارا ہے کہ تو اسے لوگوں کو بہ سہولت پہنچا دے اور آہستہ آہستہ انہیں سنا دے ہم نے اسے تھوڑا تھوڑا کر کے نازل فرمایا ہے۔
