Ayah Study

It was said: "O Nûh (Noah)! Come down (from the ship) with peace from Us and blessings on you and on the people who are with you (and on some of their off-spring), but (there will be other) people to whom We shall grant their pleasures (for a time), but in the end a painful torment will reach them from Us."

Said [Noah]: Today there is no protection [for anyone] from God’s judgment, save [for] those who have earned [His] mercy!

حکم ہوا کہ نوح ہماری طرف سے سلامتی اور برکتوں کے ساتھ (جو) تم پر اور تمہارے ساتھ کی جماعتوں پر (نازل کی گئی ہیں) اتر آؤ۔ اور کچھ اور جماعتیں ہوں گی جن کو ہم (دنیا کے فوائد سے) محظوظ کریں گے پھر ان کو ہماری طرف سے عذاب الیم پہنچے گا

{ قِيلَ يَا نُوحُ اهْبِطْ بِسَلَامٍ مِنَّا وَبَرَكَاتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمَمٍ مِمَّنْ مَعَكَ } من الآدميين وغيرهم من الأزواج التي حملها معه، فبارك الله في الجميع، حتى ملأوا أقطار الأرض ونواحيها. { وَأُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ } في الدنيا { ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ } أي: هذا الإنجاء، ليس بمانع لنا من أن من كفر بعد ذلك، أحللنا به العقاب، وإن متعوا قليلا، فسيؤخذون بعد ذلك.

قال الله: يا نوح اهبط من السفينة إلى الأرض بأمن وسلامة منَّا وبركات عليك وعلى أمم ممن معك. وهناك أمم وجماعات من أهل الشقاء سنمتعهم في الحياة الدنيا، إلى أن يبلغوا آجالهم، ثم ينالهم منا العذاب الموجع يوم القيامة.

يخبر تعالى عما قيل لنوح عليه السلام حين أرست السفينة على الجودي من السلام عليه وعلى من معه من المؤمنين وعلى كل مؤمن من ذريته إلى يوم القيامة كما قال محمد بن كعب دخل في هذا السلام كل مؤمن ومؤمنة إلى يوم القيامة وكذلك في العذاب والمتاع كل كافر وكافرة إلى يوم القيامة وقال محمد بن إسحاق لما أراد الله أن يكف الطوفان أرسل ريحا على وجه الأرض فسكن الماء وانسدت ينابيع الأرض الغمر الأكبر وأبواب السماء يقول الله تعالى "وقيل يا أرض ابلعي ماءك" الآية. فجعل الماء ينقص ويغيض ويدير وكان استواء الفلك على الجودي فيما يزعم أهل التوراة في الشهر السابع لسبع عشرة ليلة مضت منه في أول يوم من الشهر العاشر رأى رؤوس الجبال فلما مضى بعد ذلك أربعون يوما فتح نوح كوة الفلك التي ركب فيها ثم أرسل الغراب لينظر له ما صنع الماء فلم يرجع إليه فأرسل الحمامة فرجعت إليه لم تجد لرجليها موضعا فبسط يده للحمامة فأخذها فأدخلها ثم مضى سبعة أيام ثم أرسلها لتنظر له فرجعت حين أمست وفي فيها ورق زيتون فعلم نوح أن الماء قد قل عن وجه الأرض ثم مكث سبعة أيام ثم أرسلها فلم ترجع فعلم نوح أن الأرض فد برزت فلما كملت السنة فيما بين أن أرسل الله الطوفان إلى أن أرسل نوح الحمامة ودخل يوم واحد من الشهر الأول من سنة اثنتين برز وجه الأرض وظهر البر وكشف نوح غطاء الفلك وفي الشهر الثاني من سنة اثنتين في ست وعشرين ليلة منه "قيل يا نوح اهبط بسلام منا" الآية.

The Command to descend from the Ship with Peace and Blessings Allah, the Exalted, informs of what was said to Nuh when the ship anchored on Mount Judi, peace be upon him, peace were sent upon him and the believers with him. This salutation was also for every believer from his progeny until the Day of Resurrection. Muhammad bin Ka`b said, "Every male and female believer until the Day of Resurrection is included in this salutation of peace. Likewise, every male and female disbeliever until the Day of Resurrection is included in this promise of torment and pleasure. Muhammad bin Ishaq said, "When Allah wanted to stop the flood, He sent a wind upon the face of the earth that caused the water to be still. Then the springs of the earth were closed off from the great flooding and the pouring (rain) from the sky halted. Allah, the Exalted, says, وَقِيلَ يَأَرْضُ ابْلَعِى مَآءَكِ (And it was said: "O earth! Swallow up your water...") 11:44 Thus, the water began decreasing and subsiding until the ship settled on Mount Judi. The People of the Tawrah (the Jews) claim that this occurred during the seventh month (of the year) and it lasted for seventeen nights. Then, on the first day of the tenth month, he (Nuh) saw the mountain tops. Then after forty more days, Nuh opened the small window in the roof of the ship and he sent a raven out to see what the water had done. However, the raven did not return to him. Then, he sent a pigeon out but it returned to him without finding any place (land) to put its two feet down. He extended his hand out of the ship and the pigeon grabbed his hand so that Nuh could pull it back into the ship. Then, after seven more days passed, he sent the pigeon out again to investigate for him. The pigeon returned in the evening with a leaf from an olive tree in its mouth. From this, Nuh knew that the water had decreased from the face of the earth. He remained in the ship for seven more days before he sent the pigeon out again. This time the pigeon did not return to him, so he knew that the earth had appeared. Thus, a year was completed from the time that Allah sent the flood, until the time of Nuh sending the pigeon. The first day of the first month of the second year began when the face of the earth appeared and land became visible. This is when Nuh uncovered the opening of the ship. During the second month of the second year, after twenty six nights, قِيلَ ينُوحُ اهْبِطْ بِسَلَـمٍ مِّنَّا (It was said: "O Nuh! Come down (from the ship) with peace from Us)

طوفان نوح کا آخری منظر کشتی ٹھہری اور اللہ کا سلام آپ پر اور آپ کے تمام مومن ساتھیوں پر اور ان کی اولاد میں سے قیامت تک جو ایماندار آنے والے ہیں سب پر نازل ہوا۔ ساتھ ہی کافروں کے دنیوی فائدے سے مستفید ہونے اور پھر عذاب میں گرفتار ہونے کا بھی اعلان ہوا۔ پس یہ آیت قیامت تک کے مومنوں کی سلامتی اور برکت اور کافروں کی سزا پر مبنی ہے۔ امام ابن اسحاق کا بیان ہے کہ جب جناب باری جل شانہ نے طوفان بند کرنے کا ارادہ فرما لیا تو روئے زمین پر ایک ہوا بھیج دی جس نے پانی کو ساکن کردیا اور اس کا ابلنا بند ہوگیا ساتھ ہی آسمان کے دروازے بھی جو اب تک پانی برسا رہے تھے بند کر دئیے گئے۔ زمین کو پانی کے جذب کرلینے کا حکم ہوگیا اسی وقت پانی کم ہونا شروع ہوگیا اور بقول اہل توراۃ کے ساتویں مہینے کی سترہویں تاریخ کشتی نوح " جودی " پر لگی۔ دسویں مہینے کی پہلی تاریخ کو پہاڑوں کی چوٹیاں کھل گئیں۔ اس کے چالیس دن کے بعد کشتی کے روزن پانی کے اوپر دکھائی دینے لگے۔ پھر آپ نے کوے کو پانی کی تحقیق کے لیے بھیجا لیکن وہ پلٹ کر نہ آیا، آپ نے کبوتر کو بھیجا جو واپس آیا۔ اپنے پاؤں رکھنے کو اسے جگہ نہ ملی، آپ نے اپنے ہاتھ پر لے کر اسے اندر لے لیا، پھر ساتھ دن کے بعد اسے دوبارہ بھیجا۔ شام کو وہ واپس آیا، اپنی چونچ میں زیتون کا پتہ لیے ہوئے تھا اس سے اللہ کے نبی نے معلوم کرلیا کہ پانی زمین سے کچھ ہی اونچا رہ گیا ہے۔ پھر سات دن کے بعد بھیجا اب کی مرتبہ وہ نہ لوٹا تو آپ نے سمجھ لیا کہ زمین بالکل خشک ہوچکی ہے۔ الغرض پورے ایک سال کے بعد حضرت نوح ؑ نے کشتی کا سرپوش اٹھایا اور آواز آئی کہ اے نوح ہماری نازل کردہ سلامتی کے ساتھ اب اتر آؤ الخ۔
